The Future of the MLM Business In India

MLM (or Multi Level Marketing as we call it) is one of the most under rated business models in the world. In reality it is a highly sustainable and powerful business model and is right now very successful.

What could be the reason for its massive success? The answer is quite simple. Lack of financial safety.

The Network Marketing (MLM) industry provides a realistic way to build a solid business for an average person.

Because of the recent crash in the economy, people are more open to starting an MLM business. In developed countries, the masses understand the concept of MLM and are open to the concept of taking part in it. That is great but what is the current scenario of the indian mlm segment?

Actually the current scenario of the Indian MLM looks kind of ok. There isn’t widespread acceptance unlike in other developed countries. Its not like I am suggesting that people in developed countries embrace the MLM industry with open arms but it is just that those people are much more receptive to the whole idea as opposed to us.

So what could be the reason for less acceptance of the Network Marketing in India?

This stems from the fact that there have indeed been a lot of scams emerging in India in the name of MLM (Or Multi level marketing). The whole purpose of creating bogus MLM companies is to swindle hard earned money from the public and run away before getting caught.

The matters are worsened by the fact that proper law enforcements pertaining to the Network Marketing industry are lacking in India.

Due to incompetent laws, individuals tend to find it comparatively easier to set up phony enterprises here and they definitely do it to make great amounts of cash very quick.

So does this mean that its going to be quite challenging to build an mlm business in India?

I would say: not really. I firmly believe that venturing into a Network Marketing business targeting the Indian audience will be very rewarding in the future.

How is that so? Ok I think we need to get back the basics. What do you think is the most important factor when it comes to building a Network Marketing business?

If you say products, then I would say NO.

If you say compensation plan, then I would say NO again.

If you say the overall company morals, the answer is NO again.

But if by any chance you say that it’s the people, then yes, you are totally right.

Yes, people, potential clients, distributors are the greatest commodity in Multi Level Marketing. The reason: we will always have a large supply of good products to market, great comp plans to show but it’s the masses who make all the difference in the end. They are the currency of the MLM business.

Now think about this in terms of the Indian marketplace. Yes, it’s the masses. So does this bode well for those focusing on the Indian MLM section?

I would say that this spells the opening of a really great opportunity which when used correctly can result in large benefits in the future. The Network Marketing business being recession proof is pulling in loads of people nowadays who wish to make multiple streams of income and this really is a very big sign.

So if I were to make a comment or two about the future of the mlm business in India, I would say this:

The MLM (Network Marketing) business in India is not very well developed as of now. But looking at the way things are going, it’s quite evident network marketing in India is poised for an explosive growth in the near future.
